Linkway House is a large detached property set in an urban area and is within 5 minutes walking distance from Burnley town centre, with easy access to major motorways from Burnley to anywhere in the country.

Traditionally built of stone the home, it was once an old public house building, and has a purpose built school on the grounds that has now gained registration with the Department of Education.

Linkway House is a five bedded residential property offering excellent facilities. These include large double bedroom accommodation that are all furnished and decorated to a high standard. Each young person has his / her own bedroom which they can personalise to their own tastes. There are also ample bath, shower and toilet facilities.

Linkway House offers a large TV lounge which provides video, free view T.V and DVD services. Adjoining this is a large communal dinning room, used also for group activities.

All our young people are encouraged to follow a healthy eating programme, although we do take into account the sensory difficulties, some of our children experience in this area, and support these wherever possible . Special diets for medical, religious or cultural reasons can be catered for. Gluten -free and casein free diets are catered for when medical opinion deems it advantageous to the child. All meals are cooked on the premises and most are eaten in the dining room in family groups with care staff. All pupils are encouraged to involved with meal preparation , supporting our emphasis on developing independence skills. Our menus are changed seasonally, and we endeavour to ensure that they are the healthiest options available.

Linkway House offers a well equipped light sensory room used to relax and improve behaviour management.

The enclosed spacious garden area offers a new specially designed adventure play area and a large outdoor trampoline and barbeque facilities.

Our own vehicles, a 14 seat minibus and car enable the young people to access many educational and community based activities. This also allows us to offer a transport service with qualified staff to return the young people home to their parents for a visit.
